Psychology

Psychology is a very popular subject at university – the British Psychological Society reports that some admissions tutors are seeing up to 50 candidates applying for each place. As a result, many universities require reasonably high A Level results.

Many students study Psychology without a view to pursuing a career in that field. However, there are many opportunities for clinical psychologists – forensic psychologists, educational psychologists, occupational psychologists and counselling psychologists, to name but a few – in both the public and private sector.
