Physiotherapy is a competitive field to get into at university level. This may be partly as a result of the perceived glamour of the job, but obviously most Physiotherapists dont work as sports physios with the England football team.
Physiotherapists in the NHS work in many different departments, for instance orthopaedics, paediatrics, intensive care and the care of the elderly, to name but a few, but would probably be the first to say that their job is not particularly glamorous. Once qualified, however, there are many job opportunities available.
