The Advice Clinic

The Advice Clinic is a HEFCE funded Widening Participation project which is part of the AimHigher initiative. It aims to encourage young people from London to consider the medical and health professions by giving clear and helpful information about careers in medicine and the allied health professions. The project also receives funding from the Department of Health and HEFCE as part of the Aimhigher Healthcare Strand.

Through our partnership of 19 London universities and institutions we cover all medical and health-related courses for the whole of the London region.

The Advice Clinic works with schools, colleges and LEA Aim Higher Co-ordinators to organise events and activities which will give young people an insight into the range of careers in the medical and health professions, and pathways into them.

This website is aimed at providing information for teachers and Widening Participation Officers about Advice Clinic activities and about how to get your school involved. If you are a young person looking for information about the health professions, check out our new website: www.careersinhealth.org.uk
